Smoothies, cold-pressed juices, nut milks, healthy snacks, and bowls of açai, quinoa or oats. Welcome to The Juice Laundry, “the place for keeping our bodies clean,” reads their menu. Certainly the place to go for healthy food lovers.
Everything in the house, an extensive menu, is organic and fresh. Fruits, veggies, raw greens, seeds, nuts, roots and spices. The place hit the Charlottesville scene last year with its powerful Norwalk and Goodnature hydraulic press juicers, extracting the maximum amount of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes from every piece of fresh produce that they juice.
Beyond a ton of different juices, they offer fancy bowls with smoothie base, cereals or quinoa, topped with fruit, house granola, cacao or sunflower seeds. Chia of course is the queen of the place.
Coco Verde, with kale, spinach, mango, banana, dates, coconut oil, and coconut water is our favorite smoothie, but this is all about personal taste and particular needs. People also love Bradley’s CB&J, a pink color, with strawberry, banana, dragonfruit, dates, cashew butter and house cashew milk. But there are endless possibilities of showcased smoothies and they are all totally customizable.
Their wise claim is a quote by the food author Michael Pollan: “Eat food, not too much, mostly plants.” Hurrah!
