This hearty Southern comfort restaurant focuses on breakfast and brunch. They take it very seriously and promise to “serve delicious, homemade food that guests will want to return to week after week.” And we totally endorse their claim.
This familiar restaurant has become a classic spot in town, where folks line up for hours (they don’t take reservations) to order the delicious benedicts, omelets, hashes and potato dishes, fluffy pancakes, homemade wheat biscuits, and a lot of bacon. At the same time the establishment offers gorgeous vegetarian choices. The staff is really kind and if you read the walls, you’ll agree they have a great sense of humor.
Corned Beef Hash is very popular and so is the Tofu Hash. Patrons enjoy how some dishes capitalize on the treasured sweet and salty combination, such as the Hungry Norman (an English muffin topped with blackberry jam, goat cheese, sausage and two eggs). Mmm…
There is no way you will be able to try it all at once, and it might be tough to wait until the next weekend. However, during the weekdays it is much easier to acquire a table, and they offer hearty breakfast treats and lighter lunch options. Bring cash, no cards accepted! Old school folks…
