Barcelona, Liguria, Saint-Paul de Vence, Santorini, Lesbos… These are your colorful views while having lunch or dinner at Orzo. Inspired by the extensive travels of Ken, Charles and their families to the Mediterranean, Orzo Kitchen & Wine Bar endeavors to pay tribute to the charming people and beautiful cultures for whom food, wine and entertaining is a way of life. Surrounded by Laura Wooten’s Mediterranean landscape paintings, Orzo is a window into soulful cooking and gracious hospitality.
The menu is totally seasonal with a high respect for the ingredients and the way they are produced. “Start with the best ingredients possible, naturally raised and locally sourced. Treat these ingredients with care and respect. Stay true to traditional recipes and let the finished product shine!” says co-owner Charles Roumeliotes.
The winter starters range from roasted butternut and pear soup, Greek dolmas with duck comfit, frutti di mare, prosciutto di Parma, bruschetta or roasted mussels with feta cheese. Along with rich and tasty salads, some of the popular entrees are linguini and clams, Sharondale farm mushroom risotto, grilled Aspen Ridge bistro steak and roasted Atlantic cod.
It is time to celebrate the exciting synergy of food and wine and the sparkling flavors of the Mediterranean. The red wine menu is divided into “Big and Bold,” “Lush and Velvety,” “Racy and Spicy,” and “Soft and Layered” and has wines from France, Spain, Italy, Greece and the new world. White wines, champagnes, cavas and also cocktails find their place in the sumptuous meals at Orzo. Raise your glass and make a toast, salute!!!
